ACA Family, Covid-19 Information:
Governor Kay Ivey has issued an order for the physical closing of all Alabama schools until June 5, 2020. In her directive, Governor Ivey states, "despite the extended closure, districts are still expected to implement a plan... to finish the school year through alternative methods of instruction.”
The encouraging news is ACA has already begun the implementation of our plan. Our administration, along with our committed faculty and staff continue to serve the best interests of our students as they work to ensure our students meet the learning objectives and standards we have established for them.
At this time, we will adhere to the school calendar as originally approved for the 2019-2020 school year. We will observe ACA’s school break on April 10 and 13, as scheduled. The last day of school will be May 21.
In the meantime, as we continue to enhance our delivery of a virtual learning experience and adapt to this very challenging set of circumstances, we appreciate everyone’s understanding and ask for helpful feedback from both our parents and students. Please do not hesitate to contact me or your child’s principal with any suggestions, questions or concerns you may have.
We encourage everyone to continue praying for the well-being of our students and the health and safety of all our families during this trying time. We are confident that our students can and will continue to thrive in spite of this unique situation.
We know God is in control.
