Fine Arts

Information regarding all bands at Alabama Christian Academy including the award-winning ACA Marching Eagle Band and Colorguard can be found at

As a part of ACA’s art curriculum, our students explore a variety of mediums including pencil, charcoal, graphite, watercolor, pastels, clay, fabric, ink, a variety of paints, and many more. Students re-create works in the signature styles of famous artists, allowing them to develop an interest in art history.

Each student’s art work is displayed at times during the school year and exhibited in our annual art show. Students also are given numerous opportunities to participate in art competitions sponsored by the Montgomery Museum of Fine Arts as well as by local and state organizations.

Through our art program, ACA helps each student discover, develop and express his or her unique God-given talents, while encouraging the appreciation of the beauty God has created.

The chorus provides ACA students with ensemble experience in vocal production techniques and part singing for mixed voices. Emphasis is placed on musical notation and theory, the rehearsal and performance of quality literature, and the development of musical literacy through sight singing instruction. Development in all skills and concepts necessary for continued growth in vocal performance is required. Activities will include concerts, festivals, competitions, and other performances.

The purpose of this course is to glorify God, while becoming better musicians, through a holistic choral and biblical experience.  The institution of biblical studies into the choral program allows an extension in character for members that will enhance their relationship with their Creator through study and praise. This will be accomplished by performing a wide variety of choral literature, study of sacred and modern worship music, the understanding of music and the theory behind it, dedicated biblical study both inside and outside of the classroom, and character development through outside service and performance in the public community.

Alabama Christian Academy's Theater Department has grown tremendously over the past few years and has established itself as a superior performance troupe. The program is a process-based program with many opportunities for the students to put these practices onto the stage and perform. Every year, the students perform in a student showcase, attend the Walter Trumbauer State Theatre Festival and work in conjunction with Faulkner University to perform a lavish musical. Past productions have included Thoroughly Modern Millie, Guys and Dolls and Jane Eyre. Each year, students receive scholarship offers from various colleges around the state for their talent and abilities. The program is open to all ninth through twelfth grade students and we encourage all students with a desire and commitment to participate in artistic endeavors to join in the fun. After all, it is called a play.
