In the 21st century, literacy can no longer be confined to reading, writing and arithmetic. Students now must also possess technological literacy and competency in order to be successful in the classroom and beyond. With this in mind, Alabama Christian Academy will strive to integrate technology into the very fabric of all learning opportunities and provide our students with the tools necessary for success in today’s increasingly connected society. Communication, creativity, collaboration, critical thinking: all combined with a strong sense of ethics embedded in the Christian faith, will enable students to effect positive change in their communities and worldwide.
Our commitment is to provide the best instruction using technology to reach all of our students. All students in grades K4-5 have access to both classroom-based iPads and Chromebooks, while each student in grades 6-12 is issued a Chromebook. ACA provides campus-wide, wireless network access, high-speed Internet access as well as both on and off-campus content filtering for all students. Each student in grades K-12 has access to a personal Google Suite for Education account, which provides a robust set of communication and productivity tools managed by ACA.
