Bio
Missy retired after 26 years of teaching in public schools in the tri-county area, but after only 6 months she felt an emptiness in her heart. Through her desire to continue teaching and prayer, she was led to begin a new chapter in her life by accepting a position at ACA. Her classes include Algebra II, Personal Finance, and Yearbook. Missy has been a Reader(scorer) for the College Board’s AP Statistics exam since 2014 and is now training new AP Statistics teachers in Alabama through Alabama’s A+ College Ready program. She spent 8 years traveling with the National Math and Science Initiative and 10 years with the A+ College Ready program as a middle and high school math trainer and student study session instructor. Together, Missy and her husband, Ray, have two sons, a daughter, a daughter-in-law, and 2 beautiful grandchildren. Ray and Missy are members of Grace Pointe Church of Christ.
