Bishop-Elect Belcher’s personal statement is, “Jesus answered and said unto him, ‘Verily, verily, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.’ “John 3:3 This is one of the most important scriptures that I have based my life and ministry on. I accepted Christ at the age of sixteen at Shiloh Baptist Church. It was then that I knew that with and through God, ALL things are possible! I went through many experiences after that decision, and it was not until my sophomore year in college that I really realized that God had a purpose for my life. God has blessed me tremendously and I know that my purpose is to spread His Word to all people. Through ministry, commitment, dedication, and family, I have prepared and am fulfilling the mission that God has given to me. It is through my commitment that I will continue to be a servant of God and do His Will. I strive daily to proclaim and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ to help others have a permanent experience and relationship with Him, to lead them to the realm of praise and worship of Him, and to continue nurturing their spiritual development during their daily walk with Christ. Experience is life’s greatest teacher and through everything that I have been through, from my darkest times to losing my youngest daughter Kerri Ann, God has shown me that my TESTS were going to be my Testimonies! I thank God for my storms because they taught me a lot and have made me not only a better father to my girls, a better husband to my wife, and a better Pastor to my church. I will continue to praise, worship, and sing praises to God for his son Jesus Christ, for saving my soul, and for his continuous grace, mercy, and blessings that he continues to bestow upon me daily. To God be the Glory!
