Theater

In the Theatre Department at Alabama Christian Academy, we are striving to build a community of collaborators. We work together to make personal connections. Connections with each other and our community. We study characters to gain understanding and empathy. We work with students on communication skills to help them succeed in their chosen careers. We challenge students to look at each other from a deeper self-knowledge. We teach the whole student; emotionally, physically, intellectually and spiritually. And we use the medium of theatre to guide them, question after question, scene after scene, song after song, performance after performance. We nurture our students fervently and urgently to act intentionally, to inspire excellence, to live without artistic fear and to become lifelong learners. We help them to better understand themselves and each other, leading them to a deeper, developed quality of work and life.
