NEST at ACA

We are excited to introduce NEST at Alabama Christian Academy for grades Kindergarten 2 year olds to Kindergarten 5 year olds.

NEST is dedicated to growing students through three areas of emphasis: Nurturing, Educating, and Spiritual Training. ACA’s youngest students are some of our most special Eagles!

Children engage in singing and moving, discussions and role-playing, games, and response pages to develop and practice skills that can be used both at school and home.

NEST uses the I Can Problem Solve curriculum, and fun thematic units that develop and support healthy self-esteem, self-confidence, positive social skills, and Christian character education. Puppets, quality children’s literature, games, and songs enrich our lessons.

NEST and Lower School Counseling programs are dedicated to supporting and enhancing the development of all students! The lower school counselor engages with all students through classroom guidance lessons intended to be preventative, informative and thought-provoking. Students who need additional support may meet as a small group or individually with the counselor.

The NEST Benefits

The benefits of the NEST school go beyond a daycare setting as students are given many developmentally appropriate opportunities to interact as a member of our Christian school family. Teachers provide your young child with spiritual, emotional, physical and social knowledge and wisdom to help lay a foundation for success throughout their lifetime. Our safe and welcoming environment supports each child’s well-rounded development through ACA’s holistic educational approach.

The NEST at ACA is the premier pre-kindergarten and kindergarten program in the Montgomery area. Each NEST teacher is dedicated to helping students learn manners, communication skills, hygiene and safety, focus, and the social skills necessary to navigate successfully through both triumph and disappointment. Students in K5 have the opportunity to meet with a full-time Reading Specialist each day.

Our continuous and collaborative curriculum plan is purposefully organized and implemented for optimum early childhood development by ACA’s certified teachers. The NEST curriculum incorporates and exceeds standards set by the Alabama Early Learning Guidelines and the National Association for the Education of Young Children.

As a school accredited by the National Christian School Association (NCSA) we permeate faith-based themes and teachings throughout your child’s school journey. Engaging Biblical themes, supported by weekly interactive Bible stories, will enable this knowledge to be incorporated into daily conversations, chapel and classroom and enrichment lessons. Matthew 19:14 reads, Let the children come to me…such is the Kingdom of Heaven.
